New Resources 2004
The Canadian Sugar Institute (CSI) Nutrition Information Service is pleased to provide you with the latest edition of our annual health professional newsletter, Carbohydrate News, and an additional health professional resource, Carbohydrates, Sugars and the New Food Label.
Carbohydrate News includes a summary of the sugars recommendations from the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI) Macronutrient report, which was published by the United States Institute of Medicine in collaboration with Health Canada in 2002. In addition, Carbohydrate News contains an estimate of current intakes of added sugars in Canada. CSI's Scientific Advisory Council, a group of nutrition researchers from across the country, reviewed this resource to ensure its accuracy.
