New Infographic: Energy Balance is Key to Maintaining Body Weight
There are many different factors that can lead to weight gain including dietary habits, level of physical activity, environmental factors, sleep patterns, stress, and genetics. You’re at increased risk of gaining weight when the energy (Calories) you ingest from all food and beverage sources (including sugars) is greater than the energy you use to perform normal bodily functions like breathing, digestion, pumping blood, daily movement and physical activity.
The registered dietitians and nutrition researchers of the Canadian Sugar Institute Nutrition Information Service recognize that achieving a healthy lifestyle is truly a dynamic act of maintaining a well-balanced and varied diet, including daily movement and exercise, getting adequate sleep, and managing stress. Therefore, we are excited to share this new infographic to help you and your clients find your balance.
